Senior bureaucrat Rajesh Khullar appointed Executive Director, World Bank

On Monday (September 14, 2020), an ordered was issued by the Personnel Ministry. According to the order, Senior bureaucrat Rajesh Khullar has been appointed as Executive Director, World Bank, Washington.

Rajesh Khullar is a 1988 batch IAS officer and currently, he is serving in his cadre state Haryana. In Haryana, he is working under Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, as a principal secretary.

He will have a tenure of three years or till the date of his superannuation, i.e. August 31, 2023, the order said.

The Personnel Ministry also said that Sameer Kumar Khare has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila in another order.

Khare is a 1989 batch IAS officer of Assam Meghalaya cadre and is currently the additional secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs.

According to the order, he has been appointed Executive Director of ADB for a tenure of three years.
