The sleuths of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) during a routine frisking caught a passenger carrying 19 packets of Charas weighing 192 gms. The boy identified as Raju, 18 years was caught by Head Constable Rattan Singh at Arjan Garh Metro Station while he was carrying these packets concealed in his trousers. The matter was soon reported to the shift in-charge of CISF, Sub-Inspector P.R. Yadav took him to the Station Controller Room for thorough checking.
When questioned, he revealed that he was originally a resident of Nepal and presently staying at Delhi's Defence Colony. He came to Arjan Garh metro station to take metro train towards INA metro station. He further disclosed that his friend gave him the said contraband item (Charas) to deliver to a person in INA. Subsequently, the message was passed to the senior officer of CISF and DMRP. Later, the accused Raju along with the recovered contraband ‘Charas’ was handed over to DMRP for further legal action in the matter.
