Crime Branch Seizes 1.5 kg of Heroin amounting to ₹ 1.5 crore

The Anti Human Trafficking Unit of Crime Branch has arrested a Nigerian origin man named Mr. Obinna Fortune r/o City Mbano, Imo State, Nigeria, and aged 35 years for peddling drugs in the city.

The agency has recovered 1.5 kilograms of good quality heroin from him which is worth ₹ 1.5 crore in the International market. He has been arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and the Indian Passport Act, 1967 for not being able to furnish his passport.

The information about Mr. Obinna Fortune was received by Sub Inspector Vipin Kumar of AHTU, Crime Branch. Thereafter, a team led by Inspector Manoj Kumar consisting of Sub Inspector Vipin Kumar, Assistant Sub Inspector Satbir Singh, Head Constable Jitender, Head Constable Sitender Pal, Constable Jitender and other staff under close supervision of Sh. Surender Kumar Gulia, Assistant Commissioner Police of Anti Human Trafficking Unit was constituted to initiate the action.

A Trap was made near Vikas Puri and Mr. Obinna Fortune was arrested at 5:00 PM on Monday (June 25th, 2018).

Mr. Obinna Fortune revealed that he and his associate and fellow countryman Charles have been peddling drugs in Uttam Nagar and Janakpuri area since last 4 months.
