Law Minister Kiren Rijiju says that the Centre is committed to provide adequate infrastructure to judiciary to make justice delivery system efficient and the govt is sensitive towards the needs of judiciary.

Chief Justice N V Ramana asks government to consider setting up of National Judicial Infrastructure Authority which would address the infrastructural requirements of the judiciary and also fill up the vacancies of judges.

President Ram Nath Kovind says that independence of judiciary is non-negotiable but without compromising its independence reform within judiciary could be brought in many ways like by introducing All India Judicial Services Exam to select the best mind for judiciary.

The President says that indian judiciary has always adhered to highest standard but says that judges should refrain from passing indiscreet remarks in court hearing as it leads to dubious interpretation.

CJI NV Ramana: Legislature doesn't conduct studies or assess impact of laws it passes. This sometimes leads to big issues. introduction of S 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act is an example. Now, already burdened magistrates further burdened by 1000s of these cases.

President Kovind: Pains me that there have been disparaging remarks against judges on social media by miscreants. Though there are many platforms which have democratised the judicial systems, however they have a dark side.
