The Supreme Court in the case of Pranav Verma & Ors. v. Registrar General of the High Court of Punjab & Haryana & Anr.
has directed the Punjab and Haryana High Court to prepare a fresh selection list of candidates in the Haryana Judicial Service Exam 2017 after giving candidates 20 grace marks in two papers. The fresh list will be published in two weeks.
The petition prays the Supreme Court to issue a writ of certiorari or any other writ or direction to quash the result of the Main (Written) Examination of Civil Judge (Junior Division) in the Haryana Civil Service (Judicial Branch) Examination – 2017 declared on 11.04.2019; Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ or direction to get the re-evaluation done of all the papers of the Main Exam of all the petitioners who appeared in the said examination by an independent expert committee and such revaluation of the mark sheets on lines of standards affirmed in CPIL v. Registrar General of High Court, Delhi
and direct the Respondents to frame and issue directions/guidelines for compliance with evaluation methodology approved by this Hon'ble Court and procedure of relief in contravention of the same [Read Petition]
