A Delhi court terms former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar as the "principal abettor" in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, framing charges related to a Gurudwara burning incident. The court finds evidence of his involvement in an unlawful assembly with intent to burn, loot, and harm Sikhs in retaliation for the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The court also discharges Kumar from murder charges in a separate case.
