Sandalwood Drug Case: Karnataka High Court Denies Bail to Sanjjana Galrani, Ragini Dwivedi

Bail applications were filed by Kannada actors Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjjana Galrani, and others in the Karnataka High Court after being arrested for consuming and supplying drugs in the events organized by them. 

They were charged under Section 120b of the Indian Penal Code for criminal conspiracy, Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for contravention in relation to manufactured drugs and preparations, Section 27A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders, Section 27B of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for consuming Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substance.

The special court rejected the application on September 8, 2020, and then the Karnataka High Court comprising the bench of Justice Sreenivas Harish Kumar dismissed their bail application on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. The court further left the order to be made available during the course of the day.
