The CISF found four gold bars weighing one-kilogram worth rupees 30 lakh. The gold bars found in the dustbin of a washroom at Indira Gandhi Airport, Delhi were handed over to the Customs.
A piece of specific information was received by the CISF personnel at terminal-3, IGI Airport that a suspicious packet was lying inside a dustbin of washroom number 27 located at de-boarding gate area of terminal-3, IGI Airport, New Delhi.
Immediately, CISF personnel reached the spot and Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad (BDDS) team of CISF and other senior officers of CISF were informed. The packet was checked from security point of view by the BDDS team. After ascertaining that there was nothing that could pose a threat the packet was opened, it had 4 gold bars weighing about 1 kg, concealed inside a cigarette packet.

The matter was informed to Customs officials and the recovered gold bars were handed over to them for further legal action.
