The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Crime Branch, Delhi together with an NGO named Sathi, re-united 17 children as an emotional Childrens day gift to their families at a function organized at Crime Branch office, Sec-16, Rohini.

AHTUs ACP, Sh. Surender Gulia, along with his team and representatives of NGO Sathi had been working since November 1, 2018, to rescue the lost children. Since then 31 children were rescued by them from railway stations and ISBT Delhi.

Out of the 31 children rescued, 17 were united with their families on the occasion of Childrens day. Efforts are being made to trace the family members of the remaining children.

At the function where the children were formally handed over to their parents, each child was given a school bag with some books and clothes.
