A CISF personnel (Central Industrial Security Force) found a bag containing rupees 1.5 lakh at Dwarka Metro Station. It was spotted by Sub-Inspector Rajesh Ranjan of CISF who was deployed at Dwarka Sector 21 Metro Station. When he saw the bag lying unattended on the output roller of X-BIS Machine. He asked the nearby passengers but none came forward to claim the bag.
Subsequently, the bag was checked from security point of view. After ascertaining that there was nothing dangerous inside the bag. It was opened in the presence of Station Controller, it had in it cash rupees 1,50,000/- and some important items. It was deposited with the Station Controller. After some time, a passenger by the name Dhruv Dhawan arrived at the metro station and informed that his father Vikash Dhawan had by mistake forgotten to collect his bag after putting the same for X-ray screening and went to IGI Airport as he had to board a flight from IGI Airport. He was brought to the Station Controller Room and after proper verification, the bag with the cash mentioned was handed over to him. He walked away with a smile and profusely thanked the police on duty.
