Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is an autonomous body established under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The FSSAI has been established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 which is a consolidating statute related to food safety and regulation in India

Job description

Assistant Director

Location

Delhi, Mumbai (Maharashtra), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Kolkata (West Bengal) and Guwahati (Assam)

Eligibility

Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.

OR

With two years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in pay Level 8 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

OR

With three years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Pay Level 7 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

OR

With eight years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Pay Level 6 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department and posses the educational qualification and experience as under:

  • Bachelors Degree from a recognised university or institution and relevant experience in handling administration, finance, human resource development or/and vigilance and account matters.
  • Desirable: MBA degree from a recognised university or institution.

OR

Degree of Law from a recognized University or institution with experience of handling legal matters or working experience as Law Ofcer in a reputed Government or Autonomous body or Research Institutions or Universities or Public Sector Undertakings.
