About the organisation

The Border Security Force (BSF) is the primary border defence organisation of India. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India, it was raised in the wake of the 1965 War on 1 December 1965, for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected therewith.

It is a Central Armed Police Force charged with guarding Indias land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime.

Job description

1 post of Law Officer Grade- 11 on Deputation/Re-Employment basis.

Eligibility

  • Degree in law.
  • Six years of minimum experience in legal affairs.
  • Should be qualified for enrolment as an advocate.

Salary

Pay Band 3 (Rs. 15600-39100) + Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- (Pre-revised) equivalent to Level 11 in pay Matrix.

Since the post is required to be filled up urgently, it is requested that the applications of officers in the enclosed proforma along with complete up to date CR dossiers may be forwarded to the Deputy Inspector General (Pers), HQ DG BSF, Block No. 10, 5th Floor, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi within 60 days from the date of publication in Employment News Weekly.

While forwarding the application, it may be verified and certified that the particulars furnished by the officers are correct and that no disciplinary/vigilance case is pending/contemplated against the officer.
