The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is the national professional accounting body of India.

It was established on 1 July 1949 as a statutory body under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 enacted by the Parliament to regulate the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India.

Job description

ICAI invites applications for the post of Project Associate for its Disciplinary Directorate on contract basis initially for a term of two years to be considered for extension in deserving cases on performance and need basis:

It is looking for suitable candidates possessing above qualifications with good communication and drafting skills having knowledge of various Acts (viz. Companies Act, Income Tax Act), Accounting Standards on Auditing, etc. Disciplinary Directorate investigates and holds enquiries under provisions of Chartered Accountants Act 1949.

Experience in Regulatory bodies/Judicial body/Tribunal/Court shall be an added advantage. In the case of deserving candidates, age relaxation could be considered.
