Position Overview: Video Editor

As a Video Editor at LawStreet Journal, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our visual content. Your responsibilities will include editing and managing video content, ensuring high production standards, optimizing videos for various platforms, and generating analytical reports to improve video performance and user engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Video Editing:

   • Edit interviews, reports, and other multimedia content to be published on the website and social media platforms.
   • Ensure all video content aligns with the editorial standards and style guide.
   • Add graphics, captions, and effects to enhance video presentations.

2. Platform Optimization:

   • Optimize videos for YouTube, social media, and the website to improve viewership and engagement.
   • Apply SEO principles to video content by including appropriate metadata, tags, and keywords.

3. Technical Support:

    • Provide support for any video-related technical issues, ensuring seamless uploads and playback.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with video editing software or platform-specific video display problems.

4. Content Scheduling:

    • Coordinate with the editorial team to align video publishing schedules with editorial plans.
    • Maintain a content calendar to manage and schedule video uploads efficiently.

5. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all videos meet quality standards, including audio-visual clarity, proper alignment, and functioning links.

6. User Feedback Integration:

    • Monitor user feedback and video analytics to understand video performance.
    • Implement improvements based on feedback to enhance user experience.

7. Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure all video content complies with copyright laws and platform-specific policies.
    • Adhere to accessibility standards, ensuring videos are available with captions and proper formatting.

8. Collaboration:
