Position Overview: Web Uploader

As a Web Uploader at LawStreet Journal, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our online presence. Your responsibilities will include uploading and managing content, optimizing it for search engines, providing technical support, and generating analytical reports to improve user experience and content performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Uploading:
 Upload articles, interviews, images, and other multimedia content to the website and across social media platforms.
 Ensure all content is formatted correctly and adheres to the websites style guide.

2. SEO Management:
Apply SEO principles to improve content visibility and search engine rankings.
Use metadata, keywords, and tags appropriately to enhance content discoverability.
Conduct regular SEO audits to identify and implement improvements.

3. Technical Support:
 Provide support for any content-related issues on the website.
 Troubleshoot and resolve upload or display problems promptly.
 Liaise with the IT team for technical issues beyond content management scope.

4. Content Scheduling:
 Maintain a content calendar to manage and schedule uploads efficiently.
 Coordinate with the editorial team to align publishing schedules with editorial plans.

5. Quality Assurance:
 Verify that all links, images, and videos function correctly and are properly aligned.

6. User Feedback Integration:
 Monitor user feedback and analytics to understand content performance.
 Implement improvements based on feedback to enhance user experience.

7. Compliance and Standards:
 Ensure all uploaded content complies with copyright laws and site policies.
 Adhere to web accessibility standards to make content available to all users.

8. Collaboration:
 Work closely with the editorial and design teams to ensure cohesive content presentation.
 Attend regular meetings to stay updated on content priorities and schedules.

9. Reports and Analytics:
 Generate regular reports on website traffic, content performance, and user engagement.
 Analyze web analytics data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
 Present findings and recommendations to the editorial and management teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in content management systems (CMS).
Basic understanding of HTML and web formatting.
Knowledge of SEO best practices.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Good communication skills to coordinate with various teams.
Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and reporting.
