Allahabad HC Issues Advisory To Pay Highest Respect To Judges By Stopping While Crossing Paths

The Registrar General of the Allahabad High Court has issued an advisory dated April 3, 2019, to pay highest respect to the High Court judges when they are passing through the galleries meant for the movement of the Honble Judges.

As per the advisory, it had come to the notice that the court officers and officials crossing paths with Judges in galleries are not stopping to wait for the Judges to cross them. Terming the same as a clear act of disrespect, the advisory directs the court officers/officials to stop whenever they see the Judges are passing through the galleries, to pay their respect.

An office order issued by the Allahabad High Court Establishment Sectionstates:

It has often been noticed that while Honble Judges pass through the galleries for sitting in Court and also retiring to Their Lordships Chambers, the officials/officers passing in the way do no stop to wait for the Honble Judges to cross them, which is clearly an act of disrespect.

It is, therefore, directed that the officers/officials while passing through the galleries meant for the movement of the Honble Judges shall stop whenever they see that the Honble Judges are passing through the galleries and pay highest respect to Their Lordships.

Any deviation in this regard shall be viewed seriously.
