Illegal Immigrants Ashwini Upadhyay Supreme Court

Ashwini Upadhyay mentions matter pertaining to illegal immigrants Rohingya muslims. 5 crore illegal immigrants are using our resources. CJI asks SG if counters have been filed. Informs that he will list the case if the counters are ready he will list it.

CJI remarks These are definitely important issues, however courts have limited role. The elected representatives have to look into it.

Ashwini Upadhyay says The Article 32 jurisdiction is to be used for such purposes milords.

Upadhyay: Crores of jobs are being taken and right to livelihood is hampered

CJI: These are political issues. Please take it up with the government. If we have to take up all your PILs then why did we elect the govt and there are houses like Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta: I am not aware of this matter..

CJI: If you have a counter affidavit ready then we can list it

Upadhyay: States have also replied my lord. This is why Article 32 is there
