The body of a Krishnagiri principal sessions judge's personal security officer was discovered on the first floor of the Krishnagiri court complex early on Thursday ( April 22, 2021) after he shot himself with a pistol.

P Anbarasan, 28, of Railway Colony in Krishnagiri, has left a suicide note, according to police.

According to preliminary investigations, the cop was depressed because his wife had argued with him and gone to her parents' house on ‘Ugadi' day. Anbarasan had joined the police department in 2013 and was assigned to the Krishnagiri armed reserve police as a constable.

He recently married S Aruna of Rayakottai, and his wife was already three months pregnant. Anbarasan had been serving as the personal security officer of principal district and sessions judge R Kalaimathi for the previous eight months, according to preliminary investigation.

On Wednesday morning, he went to work and did not come home until the evening. His family and relatives went on the lookout for him, but to no avail.

Anbarasan's body was discovered on the first floor of the Krishnagiri court complex on Thursday by a sanitary worker. He notified judicial officers and Krishnagiri taluk police, who arrived on the scene quickly. Bandi Gangadhar, the Krishnagiri district superintendent of police, and other police officers arrived on the scene right away. Sub-inspectors from the Fingerprint Bureau and a scientific officer have paid a visit to the scene.

SP Bandi Gangadhar said, “Anbarasan took his own life with his 9mm pistol. The bullet entered his head, and the shell shattered inside. He also left a suicide note in which he stated that his family should not be affected by his decision. Our police teams have been working on various angles to determine the cause of the suicide."

Anbarasan was suffering from extreme depression as a result of family issues, according to preliminary investigation. On the auspicious day of ‘Ugadi,' his wife argued with him and went to her parents' home. He was depressed and took drastic measures. The body was taken to the Krishnagiri government hospital for post-mortem after the Krishnagiri taluk police filed a case under section 174 CrPC. More research is being carried out in the matter.
