Supreme Court REINSTATES judicial officer who resigned in July 2014

Supreme Court REINSTATES judicial officer who resigned in July 2014 and sought reinstatement on the ground that she was forced to resign following alleged sexual harassment by a HC judge in Madhya Pradesh.

SC: Writ petition is allowed. The resignation cannot be construed to be voluntary. Order accepting resignation is quashed and set aside. The petitioner to be reinstated. No backwages

SC: But the petitioner will be entitled to all consequential benefits after her retirement.

Jaising: I thank Mr Mehta for not taking a very adversarial stand
