Sr Adv Gonsalves: Your lordship issued notice and I'm not sure if any reply is forthcoming.

Justice Khanwilkar: Who is appearing for the other side?

ASG Natrajan: I am.

Adv Arun Bhardwaj: I am here for the Faridabad Municipal Corporation.

Gonsalves: 3 is Gujrat. 16 is Khori.

Justice Khanwilkar: Wait till item 16 and make your submission.

Justice Khanwilkar: We said we'll hear it with them.

Justice Khanwilkar: Are you here for both Gujrat and Faridabad?

Gonsalves: Yes.

Justice Khanwilkar: Take up 3- Gujrat first.

Gonsalves: Jhuggis on railway land had to be removed in Surat.

Justice Khanwilkar: Mr ASG what is your stand?

ASG: Railways is not concerned about rehabilitation, that's local authority's business.

Adv Nanavati: Before HC they had said that Railways will have some rehab policy

Justice Khanwilkar: Where is that railways policy?

Adv Nanavati: Mr Gonsalves' client had produced with one of the IAs

SC: Where is it?

Nanavati: It's not a part of the record.

SC: You are coming before the SC. You should have some responsibility. You should submit documents. The adjournment is causing delay in projects. We'll hold people personally responsible.

Nanavati: HC had given liberty.

SC: Sir, HC order is in appeal before us.

Nanavati: HC has allowed petitioners to approach the state. Under the policy, state is responsible?

SC: You corporation allowed encroachment, how is state responsible?

Nanavati: it's Railways

SC: But it's the local government's responsibility

Nanavati: Give me short date for Monday.

SC: When did the project start?

Nanavati: 2018

SC: Three years and nothing has happened with the projects because of the slums.

SC: Do you have any policy, Mr Natraj, he's saying you do

ASG: As per my instructions, Railways doesn't do rehabilitation.

SC: It's on record that Railways doesn't have rehabilitation policy and Mr Nanavati is saying there is.

Gonsalves: Can you keep it on the 20th?

SC: Monday. We are going close to vacation then it'll get pushed over.
We are keeping it on Monday.
