SG Tushar Mehta appearing for Mines MinIndia sought for impleadment in the on going matter between Sarada Mines and Odisha government seeking directions to execute a mining lease for the 10 years out of the 30 years it was entitled to.

CJI : If we permit everyone to come and seek for impleadment like this things how can we hear cases?

SG: With great respect, central government is not everyone milords.

KapilSibal for Sarada mines: The dispute is between me and the State.

SG: It was because of my notification

CJI: We know what is happening and it is not good.

SG: The court can tell me what is happening, I am asking this as an officer of the court.

Kapil Sibal : We are all officers of the court

CJI: We know whats happening in Karnataka and Goa. We cant keep running the mines.

CJI: Sarada mines to file a reply on this. List after one week.

SG: I dont know the background milords but the court can tell me what is happening.
