Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkiye signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement on August 7, 2026, committing that any armed attack on one will be treated as an attack on all three. The trilateral pact was signed in Mecca by Crown Prince MBS, PM Shehbaz Sharif, and President Erdogan amid the ongoing Iran war.
