Awadh Bar Association members to withdraw from judicial activity beginning June 14, 2021 [READ NOTICE]

The Awadh Bar Association of Lucknow has decided to stop Judicial work as of June 14, after the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court ignored the Elders Committee's request to revoke the roster that was put in place on June 4, 2021.

According to a statement made by the Awadh Bar Association,

Due to widespread dissatisfaction with the current roster's implementation and public pressure to refrain from judicial work, the Elders' Committee unanimously decided that lawyers of the Lucknow High Court and members of the Awadh Bar Association will refrain from judicial work in Lucknow with effect from June 14, 2021.

The Awadh Bar Association of Lucknow has issued the notice to this effect on 12th June, 2021.
