After an elderly Grandfather defeats Black Fungus, lawyer praises the HC for obtaining Medicines.

On 1st June, Tuesday, a lawyer thanked the Delhi High Court for acting and saving her elderly grandfather's life, who had been suffering from black fungus (Mucormycosis).

Iqra Khalid, a lawyer, told a panel of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Jasmeet Singh that her 80-year-old grandfather had overcome the black fungus and had been released on Monday. It's a miracle, to be sure, she expressed her gratitude to the Court in her statement and further stated that they are grateful for your time and intervention. She dropped her petition, that she had given the Court an SOS, with these submissions.

Khalid has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, claiming that her grandpa was hospitalized in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and required pharmaceutical vials to cure black fungus. Hearing the case, the Court ordered the Centre to provide a report explaining why Amphotericin B, which is used to treat Mucormycosis, was subjected to such a high import charge.

With the support of the hospital, the state government, and family members, Khalid was able to obtain the vials needed for her grandfather's therapy.
