First Woman President Of Uttar Pradesh Bar Council Shot Dead In Agra Civil Court

The first woman President of the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council Darvesh Yadav has been shot dead by a fellow advocate today (June 12, 2019), News Nation reported.

As per the report, she was shot by one advocate Manish inside the Agra district court premises. Later, the advocate shot himself and has been admitted in the hospital.

Yadav, who assumed the chairperson charge just two days ago, was attending a welcome ceremony when she was shot dead.

The attack has been condemned by the Oudh Bar Association and it has resolved to abstain from work tomorrow (June 13, 2019) to protest the attack. The Association has also resolved to call for special enquiry by the State Government into the crime.
