Madras High Court to remain closed for summer vacation from May 1 to May 31, 2021

Madras High Court Summer Vacation

The Principal Seat of the Madras High Court and its Bench at Madurai shall remain closed for Summer Vacation starting from May 1, 2021 till May 31, 2021.

As per a notification issued by the Registrar General yesterday, the period of Summer Vacation for this year is split into four parts for the purpose of Vacation Court sitting.

The dates relating to filing and sitting were mentioned in the Notification annexed, as follows:

Vacation Court-

The sitting hours for vacation Benches will be from 10.30 a.m. to 4.45 p.m.

The e-mail id of the Vacation Officers is as follows:

Principal Seat: masbenchvac1@gmail.com

Madurai Bench: mdubenchvac1@gmail.com

Notice of any application of urgent matters may be presented along with the papers to the Vacation Officers from 10.30 a.m. to 01.30 p.m. on the filing dates.

The Registry will work on all working days during the Summer Vacation 2021 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.45 p.m., except on the Court Sitting days, on which days, the Registry will function from 10.00 a.m. to 5.45 p.m., or till the rising of the Court, whichever is later.
