NCLAT to continue its suspension of work till 10th July as two members tested posting for COVID19 [READ NOTICE]

NCLAT to continue its suspension of work

On 2nd July 2020, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal issued a notice stating that it will duly be remained closed till 10th July 2020 after two staff tested Corona positive. 

Earlier, the Appellate Tribunal was closed on 26th June 2020 which was to be extended till 3rd July 2020 for sanitization and sealing of the premises. 

The Honble Acting Chairperson, Honble Members, Officers of the Registry, and the staff of this Appellate Tribunal has come in direct contact with the affected official. However, they were subjected to the Covid-19 test after collection of their nasal swabs by a team of Doctors from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) ON 29thand 30th June 2020. Where one of them tested positive.

The Notice states that Whereas some members have come in direct contact with the affected person warranting following of the mandatory norms in terms of the Guidelines issued by the Government, for ensuing personal safety of all concerned and to prevent any peril or hazard to human life it has been decided to extend the suspension of court work to enable all concerned to observe home quarantine.

It is therefore notified that the court work (Virtual Hearing) and filings etc. In the NCLAT will remain suspended till 10th July 2020.
