Ex OLO COO Arun Srinivas appointed as the new head of Facebook India’s Global Business Group

On September 14, 2020, Facebook named Arun Srinivas as the Director of Global Business Group to lead the operations of the India Marketing Solutions vertical.

As part of his job, Srinivas will initiate the organization's relationship with the nation's leading brands and offices. He will drive Facebook's revenue in key segments by building reliable partnerships across the country. He will have the organization's key business vertical groups, office groups, and business arrangements groups reporting to him.

Mr. Srinivas has attained many accolades in his 24 years of experience in senior sales and marketing roles at pronounced companies like OLA, Unilever, and Reebok. He also has experience of working in investment firms like WestBridge Capital Partners. 

The most recent assignment on which he was working was with OLA, where he played the crucial role of Chief Operating Officer and Global Marketing Officer at OLA Mobility. He started his career working with Reebok and then moved to Unilever where he spent most of his time i.e 15 years across food, beverage, skincare, and personal care categories. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. 

Recently, Facebook has made minority investments in Meesho, Unacademy, and most recently in Jio Platforms.

Sandeep Bhushan, Director and Head of Global Marketing Solutions, Facebook India said that he is excited to welcome Arun as he joins the team as a director and will lead to shape the role Facebook family apps can play in enabling businesses by supporting the economy and building a market of digital advertisement.
