Flight services to be commenced from August 13: Lufthansa

India, last month announced individual bilateral bubbles with France and the US and also said that similar agreement is happening with Germany and the UK. An air travel bubble is a bilateral arrangement between two countries to operate international flights with a set of regulations and restrictions.

On Monday (August 10,2020), the German Carrier Lufthansa announced that the company will now run flight services to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru from 13th August under this bilateral agreement from Frankfurt and also on the Munich-Delhi Route. 

Lufthansa Groups Senior Director for South Asia sales George Ettiyil said that This flight services will help people to return back to India and enable business travel. He also said that both the test centers provide customers facility to avoid being quarantined when arriving in Germany with a negative test in their hands.     

In the release, Lufthansa stated that they have made a free PCR coronavirus test available since July for all Indian Customers at Frankfurt and Munich airport. The formation of a Travel Bubble between India and Germany will open new markets to Indians who want to get home. Scheduled worldwide passenger flights have been suspended in India since late March as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Nevertheless, varied evacuation and chartered flights are being at the moment operated to fly again stranded Indians in various international locations and in addition transport overseas nationals, whore stuck in India, to their international locations.
