Tik Tok Chooses Oracle, Rejects Microsoft in Bid to sell the Apps operations in the US

The owner of the Tik Tok has preferred Oracle over Microsoft as a suitor to buy the popular video-sharing app according to the sources. Microsoft announced on September 13, 2020 that its bid to buy Tik Tok has been rejected. They further said that Tik Toks parent company Bytedance has said that they would not sell Tik Tok US operation to Microsoft. 

This bid by the Chinese-owned app was done after a week before President Donald Trump has promised to ban Tik Tok in the US by the mid-September. 

The Trump organization has taken steps to ban Tik Tok by mid-September and request ByteDance to sell its US business, claiming national security threats because of its Chinese ownership. The administration stretched over client information being pipe to Chinese specialist Tik Tok denies it is a national security threat and is going to prevent the organization from the undermined ban. 

Earlier Walmart wanted to have a partnership with Microsoft on this deal but it is not clear that Walmart is still interested in the deal or not. Oracle has restricted himself from commenting on this deal. 

Microsoft was very confident that its proposal is a good one for Tik Tok users taking national security interest as a priority. The company said that It would have made significant changes to ensure the service method the highest standard for security and privacy online safety and combating disinformation."
