A police complaint has been filed against actress Sara Ali Khan for riding pillion without a helmet during the shoot of Imtiaz Ali’s film ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ in Delhi.
Delhi Police officials have said that necessary action will be taken against the actress after details about the incident are received, perused and verified, News18 reported. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media where Sara is seen on a bike with actor Kartik Aaryan for the shooting of a particular scene on the streets of Delhi. Whereas Kartik was wearing a helmet, the actress was spotted without one.
Sharing the video, an anonymous complainant tagged Delhi traffic police on Twitter and demanded that action should be taken against Sara Ali Khan under Sections 129/ 177 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. Section 129 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, makes it mandatory for every person driving or riding in a public place to wear protective headgear conforming to the standards of Bureau of Indian Standards. In case of violation, Section 177 of the Act prescribes a penalty of fine which may extend to one hundred rupees for the first offence and for any second or subsequent offence a fine which may extend to three hundred rupees. The complainant has also urged action be taken against Kartik for being an accessory to the violation of the traffic law.
