Mika Singhs employee arrested for theft

An employee of renowned singer Mika Singh has been arrested for stealing around Rs 3 lakh from the latters residence.

The accused, Ankit Vasan aged 27 yrs. of Uttam Nagar, Delhi has been arrested by the Police Team of PS Kirti Nagar, Delhi  A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in this regard vide FIR No. 341/18, dated. July 29, 2018, at PS Oshiwara, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The arrest has been made after Constable Mahender & Head Constable Vinod got a tip-off about Vasan, the prime suspect in the theft case at the residence of Bollywood Singer.

The information was immediately shared with Senior Officers & the Ace Cyber/Field investigator were pressed into action under the Leadership of Inspector Anil Sharma, SHO, PS Kirti Nagar & overall supervision of Raman Lamba, ACP, Punjabi Bagh and guidance of DCP West Vijay Kumar.

The team relentlessly worked for 72 hours on different parameters of Technical & Ground Surveillance. The team arrested the accused Ankit Vasan near the residence of his girl-friend namely Priyanka (Name Changed) in Vikas Puri area. The accused confessed that he was working with Singer Mika as an editor for 15 years and was clandestinely stealing the cash & valuables regularly.

However, on July 29, 2018, after being noticed by the singer, the accused fled from the studio/office and hid in Mumbai for two days before landing in Delhi on Aug 01, 2018. The police has recovered 6900 USD, 50,000 INR and Rs 5 Lakhs kept in three Bank A/Cs totaling to Rs. 10,83000/-, Hard Disc containing music software and keys of the Studio. The arrest has been made under Section 41 (1)(d) of CrPC and further interrogation is in process. The concerned SHO has been duly informed, said SHO Kirti Nagar.
