With around Rs. 4.5 trillion of investment, Prime Minister Modis Digital India Campaign is all set to be one of the grandest initiatives to push digitalization in the country. This campaign primarily focuses on creating digital awareness and empowering Indians to excel at infrastructure development, governance, manufacturing, electronic services and more.

India tops the list among the countries facing cyber-attacks specially since the time of pandemic. As per reports, around 68% of companies in India have faced some form of cyber-attack or the other. With most companies adopting work from home model since the time of the pandemic, these companies have invested heavily in components like cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobility. Employees working remotely and growing digital connectivity have also made them vulnerable to ransomware attacks.

Cyber security is linked to national security, and with many countries having created their own cyber armies, India is upgrading itself to deal with this threat. It is important in todays day and age to be extra cautious in the context of critical information security. Both data and information are going to become a huge economic force in the coming days, thus there is an imminent threat to data security, which one needs to be extremely cautious about.

Different aspects on Digital Security such as Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Web Intelligence and others need to be continuously worked upon and upgraded as the number of threats are continually growing and in order to safeguard the national security and business/personal data, digital security has become the need of the hour.

Keeping in mind the criticalities of the situation, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI), in association with Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and Heritage Cyberworld is set to organise a National Conference on Digital Security: Need of the Hour on September 09, 2022 from 10:30 am onwards during the 23rd Indian National Security Expo at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
