Chairman Of Up Real Estate Appellate Tribunal Threatened By A Lawyer

On 20th September 2021, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Tribunal Chairman was threatened by one Advocate, Mr. Kailash Singh. The latter was later arrested for issuing a life threat to Justice D K Arora (the Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Appellate Tribunal).                      

BACKGROUND 

The arrested man Kailash Singh is an advocate by profession and is considered mentally unstable. He has been sent for medical examination, with investigation being underway.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Mr Qasim Abdi has said that the accused was offended as the judge threatened once made a tough remark against his colleague Sunder Lal.                

THREAT SENT BY THE ACCUSED

The accused Kailash Bahadur Singh, sent a WhatsApp message to Justice Arora on Saturday (September 17, 2021) introducing himself as a BAHUBALI VIDHAYAK pratyashi which means a strong man and a UP assembly election candidate from Pratapgarh.

The message sent by the accused was that he is not Sunder Lal, instead he is Kailash Bahadur Singh from Pratapgarh. He further added that Sunder Lal was patient enough to bear whatever happened to him, but he is not as patient as  Sundar Lal rather he will shoot the Justice in the court.

After receiving the message, Justice Arora immediately informed the whole incident to the administrative member/registrar of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Appellate Tribunal, Mr. Rajiv Misra.

PRESENT SCENARIO 

A case was registered at the concerned police Station. Letters were sent to Senior Govt Officials, including Additional Chief Secretary (home), Director General of Police & Lucknow Police Commissioner. A copy of the complaint was also sent to a Senior Judge of the High Court of Allahabad.
