Delhi's IGI Airport has lately hit the headlines about some 'conman' cheating passengers of their money. The cheat targets innocent fliers under the garb of an airline booking agent, he would promise that he would get the flier a new ticket. Once he took the money for providing them the promised ticket he would flee the scene.

In this connection, CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) surveillance and intelligence staff of IGI Airport swung into action, procured his details from CCTV and shared with all surveillance staff members of the city side area to catch the cheat.

Constable Rohtash Yadav of CISF surveillance team deployed at the alighting point patrolling the area of terminal-3 noticed a visitor of the same description. He was intercepted and enquired. When asked he denied any involvement, however, after sustained interrogation, he confessed to the crime.

The accused was identified as Abhishek Verma of Jaunpur (UP), he works with UP PWD as Junior Assistant. On physical search, a mobile phone, an Aadhaar card (in the name of Priyanka), Pan Card, UP PWD departmental ID card, INR 18000 and Nepalese currency of 30 denomination were recovered from his possession.

Later on, he with the recovered cash and documents was handed over to Delhi Police for further legal action in the matter.
