Former BSP Lawmaker’s Son Who Brandished Gun At 5-Star Hotel Surrenders

Former BSP MP’s son Ashish Pandey who had brandished pistol at guests and threatened them in the foyer of a five-star hotel has surrendered before a Delhi court on October 18, 2018.

In this regard, a surrender application was filed through lawyer S.P.M. Triathi which states that Pandey, the son of former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) lawmaker Rakesh Pandey, has been wrongly framed in the FIR and subjected to a media trial.

Further, it states that Pandey is ready to submit before the court voluntarily and the police may be directed to take him into custody if required.

Earlier, on October 17, 2018, the court had issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Ashish Pandey for the alleged offence.

A video of the incident that occurred early on October 14, 2018, went viral on social media resulting in public outrage. It prompted the police to step in and launch a hunt for the accused who had gone missing after the incident.
