Ghaziabad: Staffers Blackmail Boss With Affair Videos, Demand Rupees 25 Lac Extortion, Three Nabbed

On June 3rd 2021, Thursday, a businessman had lodged a complaint against employees for setting up spy camera in the office.

According to the report, the said three staff members have been nabbed in the matter by the police for allegedly blackmailing and demanding money from a businessman.

The accused started blackmailing the factory owner when they came to know that he was in a relationship with a woman outside his marriage. The staff have been identified as Aparna Tyagi, Ankit and Arun Ghosh.

The report further suggested that the staff members installed a spy camera outside the factory owners cabin in Ghaziabads Hindon Vihar area and gathered footage of him with the woman.

The incident came to light when Ankit demanded amount worth rupees 25 Lac from the businessman to share the details. After several negotiations, the business man agreed to pay rupees 10 Lac in instalments. He then lodged a complaint with the police in this matter and the three have been arrested in this case.

Speaking on the matter, SHO Neeraj Singh commented, During the investigation, they told the police that the idea of the plan came after watching a show. They had read about gangster Bawana in newspaper and thought of using his name to blackmail the factory owner.

Another police officer got to know during the questioning that they tried to extort money from the owner as they were not getting their full salary on time for the last few months.

The Ghaziabad Police has lodged an FIR under Section 342, Section 323 and Section 389 of the Indian Penal Code 1860. The accused were sent to jail after being produced before the court.
