Infamous Don Munna Bajrangi Shot Dead in Baghpat Prison

The main accused in MLA Krishnanand Rai murder case and mafia don Mukhtar Ansari's right hand, Prem Prakash Singh alias Munna Bajrangi was shot dead on Monday (July 9th, 2018) morning inside the Baghpat jail.

Munna Bajrangi's wife Seema Singh, a week ago before his death held a press conference at Lucknow Press Club and had accused the STF officials of plotting to murder Munna Bajrangi. She said that a few days back there was an attempt to kill him by giving poison in meals.

This murder inside the jail premises has sensationalized the police in jail and the crime world. Reportedly, senior officers of police and jail department have arrived in Baghpat to assess the situation.

Today, there was a hearing of Munna Bajrangi in Baghpat court over an extortion case on former BSP MLA Lokesh Dikshit. Munna Bajrangi was brought to Baghpat from Jhansi Jail on Sunday. He was kept with the infamous Sunil Rathi and Vicky Sundhera in the Barrack.

ADG Baghpat jail Chandrapakash said that "Munna Bajrangi was shot at 6 am in the morning over a dispute inside the jail. Sunil Rathi shot him dead and threw the weapon inside a gutter, its a serious default of the security of the prison."

Jailer, deputy jailer including four others have been suspended so far in Baghpat jail and further investigation has been initiated by the police.
