Jailed gangster Jitender Gogi Killed Delhi Rohini Court

In a shocking turn of events, jailed gangster Jitender Gogi was killed during a firing at Delhi's Rohini Court today (September 24, 2021). According to sources, Gogi was shot dead by rivals while he was being taken before the court.

Commenting on the incident, Rohini DCP Pranav Tayal stated, "Two assailants in the uniform of advocates fired upon Gogi in court, following which police also opened fire." Further, Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana added, "Two from rival gang opened fire at Jitender Gogi inside the court. That when police retaliated and killed those two assailants."

As per reports, the killers apparently belonged to the 'Tillu' gang which was rival to Gogi’s own alliance. Two attackers involved in the incident are also believed to be dead after being shot down by security personnel inside the court premises.

Similarly, Gogi is said to have died instantly, as per the witnesses who were present at the site. Confirming the news, DCP Asthana stated, "The police acted swiftly and killed both the assailants. Total three dead, including Gogi."

Gogi was arrested in April last year under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) by Delhi Police's Special Cell. He was being tried for 19 cases of murder and attempted murder, besides dozens of extortions, dacoities, carjackings, and robberies.

As per media reports, the gangster had started dealing in real estate after dropping out of school and became a part of the criminal world after his father's death in 2010. More details on his killing and the firing at the Rohini Court premises are currently awaited.
