Red Corner Notice Goldy Brar Moosewala Murder Case

Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice against Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar. Goldy Brar, a gangster from Canada, claimed responsibility for the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala.

According to Interpol,

"A Red Corner Notice (RNC) is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action. A Red Corner Notice is not an international arrest warrant."

The notice states that Brar is accused of murder, attempt to murder, supply of illegal firearms, and criminal conspiracy. Interpol issued the notice eight days after the Central Bureau of Investigation forwarded a request for it.

Goldy Brar is currently living in Canada. A senior CBI official told sources that after the issuance of the RCN, the process to enable his extradition to India will begin. He said that,

"The RCN has been issued. The CBI liaison officer will coordinate with Interpol and a proposal will be moved through the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for extradition."
