New Delhi, September 8, 2024 – The vibrant cultural center Samay Yaan is set to celebrate its 2nd anniversary with the much-anticipated Prana Utsav, an all-day event that promises to bring together history enthusiasts, art lovers, and cultural patrons from across the city. The event will offer an immersive experience into Medieval India, through a rich tapestry of artistic, literary, and historical showcases.

From 11 AM to 5 PM, attendees will be treated to a variety of engaging and interactive activities, including:
• Trying their hand at Archery and gauging their strength with Mudgal, inspired by medieval warrior traditions.
• Exploring the intricate and mesmerizing world of Madhubani Painting, a folk art tradition from India.
• Writing their names in multiple Indian languages, celebrating India’s linguistic diversity.
• Enjoying casual interactions with like-minded people over a selection of hot and cold beverages.
Guests will also have the opportunity to read and share books, participate in thought-provoking discussions, and play unique games, creating a lively atmosphere that blends both intellectual and leisurely pursuits.
Special Evening Program: Honoring India’s Cultural Legacy
The evening session from 5 PM to 8 PM will feature a High Tea and a specially curated program to honor contributors and patrons of Samay Yaan. The session will include:
- Pen Portrait: A literary exploration of Medieval India, guided by the writings of renowned authors.
The Evolution of Music in India, a performance by the celebrated Pandit Abhay Sopori, which will take the audience on a journey through India’s rich musical heritage.
- An insightful session on Justice and Administration in Medieval India, led by Justice (Retd.) S.N. Dhingra and Advocate Harshwardhan Sharma, providing a glimpse into the governance of that era.
