China accused U.S of hyping the theory claiming that Coronavirus escaped from a lab

China accused U.S of hyping the theory claiming that Coronavirus escaped from a lab

China accused the U.S of promoting theories and rumors that the corona virus escaped from a high-security lab situated in Wuhan, as a fresh report about sick officers at the facility in Beijing to reaffirm denials.

The spokesman of foreign ministry of China, Zhao Lijian states that the report of about three people getting sick is not true at all. Zhao was responding to Wall Street Journals report that a trio of researchers from the Wuhan institute of Virology- a lab in the central city, where the first case of covid was tracked, was ill and sought medical care in November 2019.

Zhao stated that the U.S was hyping the conspiracy theory. China states the claims are nothing but conspiracy theories cumulated to divert attention from the U.S Governments own handling of the Coronavirus, and suggests that a military base in the U.S state of Maryland should be investigated.

There is suspicion about the activities at Fort Detrick and more than 200 biolabs run by the U.S, Zhao stated at the briefing.

The U.S has been hyping the theory of a lab leak, but does it really care about the origin or is trying to divert attention. We hope relevant U.S departments can make a clarification and give the world a clear answer.

The WHO led investigation concluded that it was extremely unlikely that the coronavirus infection came from a laboratory leak.
