Ingka Centers is Now Ready to Mark its Entry in India post IKEA's Success

After seeing the success of its retail arm IKEA, Sweden based Ingka group's mall business division-Ingka Center is now ready to mark its entry in India. It is said that Ingka Center is looking at "Indian Investment through a ready mall space in the Delhi- NCR region".

As per trusted sources, " Ingka Centres is scouting for mall space in NCR region, a ready to move in space" and is right now in talks with several developers in NCR".

It is further learned that Ingka Centres' talks with Great India Place Mall in Noida are at advanced stages. Ingka Centres is part of the same parent group that owns IKEA retail and they are one of the largest mall operators in the world. Their malls have IKEA stores as an anchor and Ingka Centres mall is spread across 15 countries in 45 locations with over 7000 shops and 1600 brands. 

As reported, Ingka Centres did confirm their interests in developing IKEA-anchored meeting places in India. 

"As part of Ingka Centres global expansion strategy we are interested in developing IKEA-anchored meeting places in India, but we are not able to provide more details in the point, " the company said.
