Islamabad High Court issues Arrest Warrants against Ex-Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif

On 15th September, the Islamabad High Court released arrest warrants against Nawaz Sharif in two corruption cases that is Al- Azizia and Avenfield cases launched by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and rejected the exemption plea of Nawaz.

One more case was launched against him- the Flagship investment case. But he was acquitted in this case. 

ARY News said that the arrest warrant issued has been received by the foreign ministry and a copy of the warrant has been sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to arrest Nawaz Sharif who is residing in London, with the help of necessary authorities.

The court had to increase several deadlines before concluding the case. Al-Azizia and Hill Metal properties were asked to be ceased by the court. 

The authorities arresting Nawaz has been directed by the High Court to produce him before the court for hearing on 22nd September 2020.
