About the organisation

The National Highways Authority of India is an autonomous agency of the Government of India, set up in 1988 and is responsible for the management of a network of over 50,000 km of National Highways out of 1,15,000 km in India. It is a nodal agency of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Job description

Assistant Manager (Legal)

Number of Vacancies

06 (six)

Eligibility

  1. Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institute.
  2. 2 years of experience in the field of law related to contractual matters/arbitration/legislative matters/land acquisition.

Methods of recruitment

By Deputation from officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations and other Government Bodies:

Holding analogous post on regular basis in the pay scale of Pay Band-2 (Rs.9300-34,800) with Grade Pay Rs.4800/- (in CDA pattern) or equivalent pay scale in IDA pattern in the parent cadre/ department.

OR

With three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the PB2 (Rs.9300-34800) with Grade Pay Rs.4600/- (in CDA pattern) or equivalent pay scale in IDA pattern in the parent cadre/ department.

OR

With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the PB-2 (Rs.9300-34800) with Grade Pay Rs.4200/- (in CDA pattern) or equivalent pay scale in IDA pattern in the parent cadre/department.

AND

Possessing the educational qualifications and experience stipulated in column 3.

Salary

Pay Band-2 (Rs.9300-34800) with Grade Pay Rs.4800/-(pre-revised) equivalent to level 8 of Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
