Bombay High Court is one of the oldest High Courts of India. It is located in Bombay, Maharashtra. Its jurisdiction covers the states of Maharashtra and Goa, and the Union Territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

About the job

Bombay High Court is inviting application for Law Clerks. The High court will prepare, select and make a wait list of 182 candidates. However, 4% posts (i.e.  7  posts) are reserved for persons with disabilities

Location

Bombay High Court, Dr. Daabhai Naoroji Rd, Fort Area, Kala Ghoda, Churchgate, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400032, India.

Eligibility

Qualification:

A candidate must be a Graduate of any recognized University in any faculty. Preference will, however, be given to Law Graduates.

A candidate must have passed Government Commercial Certificate Examination, or examination conducted by Government Board or I. T. I. for English Typing with speed of 40 w. p. m.

A candidate must possess Computer Certificate about proficiency in operation of word processors in Windows and Linux in addition to M.S. Office, M.S. Word, Wordstar7 and Open Office Org. obtained from any of the following Institutes:

  • Universities established under the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.
  • Goa/Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education
  • NIC
  • DOEACC
  • APTECH
  • NIIT
  • CDAC
  • DATAPRO
  • MSCIT
  • BOSTON
  • CEDIT
  • SSI

Age Limit:

On the date of publication of the advertisement, age should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years in case of General category and not more than 43 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class or Special Backward Class specified for the time being by the Government of Maharashtra.

The maximum age limit shall not be applicable to the High Court/Government Employees.

Language:

In addition to the above eligibility criteria, the candidate must have adequate knowledge of Marathi language.

Salary

Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/ plus allowances as per the Rules.
