Supreme Court opens applications for law clerk-cum-research associate position, heres all you need to know

New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the post of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the apex court at main.sci.gov.in.

The registration process, which began on January 24, will end on February 15. This recruitment drive aims to fill as many as 90 vacancies in the organisation.
Applicants may submit their applications by going to main.sci.gov.in, the apex court's official website. The official notification states that candidates who are chosen for the Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate position will receive a salary of Rs 80,000 per month.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must be a Law Graduate having a Bachelor Degree in Law (including Integrated Degree Course in Law) from any School/ College/ University/ Institution established by law in India and recognised by the Bar Council of India for enrolment as an Advocate.

The candidate studying in the fifth year of the Five-Year Integrated Law Course or the third year of the Three-Year Law Course after graduation in any stream will also be eligible to apply, subject to furnishing proof of acquiring Law qualification before taking up the assignment as Law Clerk- cum-Research Associate.

Applicants must possess research and analytical skills, writing abilities, and knowledge of computers, including retrieval of desired information from various search engines/processes such as e-SCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, LexisNexis, Westlaw etc.


SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process includes three phases. Part I will consist of Multiple Choice Based Questions. It will test the candidates ability to understand and apply the law and comprehension skills. Part II comprises a Subjective Written Examination and it will cover writing and analytical skills. The written exam will be conducted on March 10 and the answer key will be issued the next day March 11. Part III will be the Interview Procedure.

APPLICATION FEES
The application fee for the post of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate is Rs 500. The fee shall be paid online through the Payment Gateway provided by UCO Bank.
