Apex Court Refuses to Pass an Order on Army Couple's Plea Seeking Joint Posting

A plea was filed by a senior lawyer and ex-solicitor general, Ranjeet Kumar on behalf of an army couple pleading to post them in the same place. He added that they face problems because of their posting in different places as they have kids and also their parents are confined to bed (bedridden). 

 

On November 16, 2020, the Supreme Court comprising the bench of Justice Dr. DY Chandrachud refused to accept the plea and pass an order to it saying that nothing could be done in this matter as some person need to be posted to Andaman Nicobar or Leh Ladakh.
