On October 10 last year, the CBI had filed a chargesheet in the case against 16 persons including former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.
The CBI had alleged that Lalu Prasad Yadav, as the Minister of Railways during the period between 2004-2009, had obtained pecuniary advantages in the form of the transfer of landed property in the name of his family members in return for the appointment of substitutes in Group D Post in different Zones of Railways.
It has been alleged that the appointments made in the Railways were not in consonance with the standards and guidelines established by the Indian Railways for hiring.
The Court has now listed the matter for further hearing on October 16.
