Delhi HC Dismisses Nirbhaya Case Convict Pawan Kumar’s Review Plea

The High Court of Delhi today (December 19, 2019) dismissed the review plea (Criminal Review Petition 1301 of 2019) filed by Nirbhaya Case Convict, Pawan Kumar seeking to be declared a minor at the time the offence was committed in 2012. The petition referred to the rape convict as an “innocent boy” who was being falsely implicated by anti-social elements.

The matter was heard today by a single judge bench of the Delhi High Court comprising of Justice Suresh Kumar Kait. The court also imposed a fine of Rs. 25,000 on Advocate AP Singh who was representing the convict in the matter.
